Finger problem caused by trouble with tendon
(HealthDay) -- If you have trouble bending and unbending one finger, you might be suffering from "trigger finger," which is caused by a narrowing of the sheath around a tendon.
The Mayo Clinic says the condition gets its name because when bent, the affected finger becomes locked in position unless it is pulled straight. It's important to have any finger stiffness checked by a doctor.
Mild cases can be treated by resting the finger. For more severe cases, medication or surgery may be required.
