(HealthDayNews) -- If you spend hours every day in front of a computer screen, you should take some steps to reduce eye strain. The University of Michigan recommends these tips:
- Place the screen so that your line of sight is 10 to 15 degrees below horizontal.
- Dust the screen often.
- Reduce the glare by turning off or shielding overhead lights.
- Place your paperwork close enough that you don't have to keep refocusing when switching from the screen to the paper.
- Blink often to prevent dry eyes.
