Another Reason to Quit Smoking

It weakens bones

Quit smoking -- make no bones about it.

That's the conclusion to be drawn from a study conducted by Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. Researchers looked at 54 patients who had surgery for a specific wrist injury.

Ninety-five percent of the non-smokers healed completely, while only 68 percent of the smokers healed completely. And the smokers took much longer to heal.
