Hepatitis Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorders Heartburn

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you are at least 18 and have chronic hepatitis B. However, you will be ineligible if you have had pancreatitis, have taken nucleoside or nucleotide analogue antiviral drugs, have been treated with interferon or other immuno-stimulators in the last 24 weeks, have HIV, hepatitis C or hepatitis D, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study.

Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorders
This study will evaluate an investigational agent for people with predominantly negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Those who complete the six-month study may be eligible to participate in a second study and receive an additional six months of treatment. Participants must have stable negative symptoms prior to study entry, and additional criteria apply.
The research site is in Bingham Farms, Mich.
Participants in this study of frequent heartburn will receive study related tests and examinations, as well as study medication at no cost. Compensation is available for time and travel expenses. Patients must be 18 or older with at least two episodes of nighttime heartburn per week and at least two episodes of daytime heartburn per week.
