Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia or Insomnia

This research study will evaluate an investigational drug for adults who have difficulty sleeping, and memory loss associated with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. If you or a loved one qualify, the study may last up to 2 1/2 months. Participants may continue taking their current medications, and will be closely monitored by the study doctor.

Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorders

This study will evaluate an investigational medication for schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. Participants must be at least 18, diagnosed one year ago or more, have not been hospitalized for the condition within the last three months, and are regularly taking either Seroquel (quetiapine) OR Risperdal (risperidone) and are still having symptoms.

Obesity or Weight Loss

This is a two-year study of an investigational medication for obesity. You may qualify if you are between 18 and 70 and meet study body mass index (BMI) requirements. Study-related physical exams, dietary counseling (with professional dietician), lab work, ECG, and diagnostic tests will be provided.

The research site is in Mount Pleasant, SC.
