Chronic Back Pain

This trial is evaluating patients with low back or buttock pain due to degenerative lumbar disc disease. Volunteers 18-55 may qualify who have back or buttock pain attributed to degenerative lumbar disc disease, have pain that has lasted at least six weeks that has not improved after conservative treatment, and who can adequately communicate location and intensity of his/her pain.

Alzheimer's Disease or Insomnia

This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a study medication to reduce sleeplessness in adults with memory loss. Participants will receive study related physical examinations and laboratory work at no cost, and will be asked to wear a monitor similar to a wrist watch during sleep. Those who qualify may receive compensation for time and travel.

Psoriasis and Psoriatic Disorders

This study will evaluate a topical treatment for body psoriasis in adolescents. Candidates 12-17 who have psoriasis (10-35% BSA) on the arms, legs, chest, or back and are in good general health without vitamin D deficiency may be eligible. Adolescents who have scalp psoriasis but not body psoriasis are not eligible.
