This study will evaluate an investigational medication for type 2 diabetes. To qualify, you must be 18 to 77 years of age, currently taking Actos only or Avandia only to control your blood sugar, and have inadequate glycemic control.

Alzheimer's Disease

This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of an investigational drug in people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. Participation may last up to 18 weeks. Patients will receive physical examinations and vital sign measurements, and will complete Alzheimer's questionnaires. Participants must be ages 50 to 90; additional criteria apply.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

This study will evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational medication to control symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, when taken in addition to methotrexate. Study participants must be at least 18, have active rheumatoid arthritis, be taking 10 mg to 25 mg of methotrexate per week, and have at least six tender joints and at least six swollen joints.
