Diabetes - Type 2

This study will evaluate an investigational medication for type 2 diabetes. Volunteers ages 18 to 80 being treated for type 2 diabetes with either diet and exercise, or a single oral medication may qualify. Participants will receive all study-related care and medication at no cost, and may be compensated for time and travel.

Contraception

This trial will compare two FDA-approved contraceptives. Women who have menstrual periods, currently use birth control pills or have stopped using them within the last three months, are happy with the birth control pill, and want to continue using hormonal birth control methods may be included. Participation includes free office visits, exams and study medication.

Surgery

People scheduled for coronary bypass surgery are asked to participate in this research study being conducted by Montefiore Medical Center. Males or females ages 65 to 79 may be included who are surgically sterile or post menopausal, fluent in written and spoken English, and do not have a history of stroke or chronic atrial fibrillation.
