Men and women ages 18 to 85 who have been diagnosed with moderate-to-severe hypertension may qualify for this research study. Participants must have no history of heart attack or stroke.

Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

This study will evaluate changes in blood glucose levels among people with type 2 diabetes who have taken three oral medications for at least three months. Volunteers 18-79 may be eligible.

Heart Disease

This study will evaluate if the study drug (an investigational blood-thinning medication) performs as well as warfarin in reducing the formation of blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation. Participants must be 18 years or older, diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, who are at risk of clotting and need treatment with blood-thinning medication.
