Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders

A study to test an FDA-approved medication for epilepsy and the drug's effectiveness in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Volunteers with symptoms of PTSD who are at least 18 years old, in general good health, and not abusing or dependent on alcohol or illicit substances may be eligible. Symptoms may include unwanted memories or flashbacks, trouble sleeping or nightmares, nervousness, irritability or jumpiness or an avoidance of things that are reminiscent of the traumatic, upsetting experience. Research site located in New York, New York.
