A study comparing two drugs in lowering blood sugars and blood lipids (fats) in people with Type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemia. Volunteers at least 35 years old who have Type 2 diabetes and do not have serious thyroid, heart, kidney, or liver disease may be eligible. Research site located in Berkley, Michigan.

Prostate Cancer

A study to compare the effectiveness of hormone therapy versus combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have prostate cancer that has been previously treated with androgen suppression. Volunteers at least 18 years old who do not have metastatic cancer and have not received chemotherapy treatment for at least 5 years or steroid therapy for at least 4 weeks may be eligible. Research site located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

A study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an investigational drug in people with active rheumatoid arthritis. Volunteers over 18 who have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have taken Enbrel or Remicade for at least 3 months may be eligible. Research site located in Clearwater, Florida.
