(HealthDayNews) -- If their increased risk of cancer, heart disease and other ills isn't enough, smokers may be persuaded by simple vanity to kick the habit.

The Lancet reports that smoking increases production of an enzyme that kills collagen, a substance that gives your skin elasticity. To make matters worse, exposure to sunlight makes the enzyme, called MMP, even more active.
