Juicy Kids Stuff?
Too much fruit drink causes problems
You're so happy your child likes juice. You know he's getting plenty of vitamin C and staying away from that demon soda pop.
But you might want to consider this. An article by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas reports that too much juice can be bad because it packs lots of empty calories that promote obesity.
Too much juice also can promote tooth decay. The medical center says your child can get all the vitamin C he needs in one 4-to-6 ounce serving of juice.
