Teething Tips

How to make it a little easier

As a parent, you can feel helpless when your baby cries. Sometimes, you don't even know what's upsetting the child. Other times, like during teething, you know exactly what's wrong.

Kids Health for Parents has some tips to ease teething: wipe your baby's face to remove drool that can cause rashes; give him a hard object to chew on, like a wet washcloth left in the freezer for a half hour; and check with your doctor to see if an over-the counter pain reliever is appropriate.

Finally, Kids Health advises that teething usually doesn't cause high fever or diarrhea as some parents think. So, if your baby has these problems, consult your pediatrician immediately.
