Patients With Colorectal Cancer Face Increased Economic Hardship

Financial hardship is common for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, regardless of insurance status. Among 380 patients, 71.3% reported major financial hardship -- such as increased debt, new loans, or income decline -- at 12 months postdiagnosis. In total, 98% of the patients were insured.
