Be Alert for Diabetes

The disease has certain warning signs

With the rise in obesity in America, more people are now at risk for diabetes.

That's why it's crucial to know the warning signs, so you can get treatment right away. According to Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pa., the signs for both type I and type II diabetes include: excessive thirst; frequent urination, particularly at night; extreme hunger; unexplained weight loss; extreme fatigue; irritability, and blurred vision.

Other symptoms for type II diabetes are tingling or numbness in the arms or legs, frequent skin or vaginal infections, itching and cuts that heal slowly, particularly on the feet.
