It's a Shoe-In
If your feet are shod, your chances of athlete's foot are good
If you think you don't have to worry about athlete's foot because you're basically a couch potato, think again.
It turns out that's no kind of immunity at all. The condition is caused by a fungus that is fostered by the wearing of shoes and hosiery, according to the American Podiatric Medical Association.
So, if you notice a problem with your feet -- dry skin, itching, scaling, inflammation and blisters -- get to a podiatrist. And don't use fear of athlete's foot as an excuse not to exercise.
