Blood in the Urine

Usually, it signals a minor problem

Some health problems are just plain scary. One is spotting blood in your urine. It can be a symptom of something serious, but more often it signals a relatively minor problem. Either way, you need to check it right away.

The University of Southern California Care Medical Group says the problem often is related to an infection that can be treated easily. Another possible cause is a kidney stone, which, though painful, can be treated, too.

A more serious but rare cause is bladder cancer.

Sometimes, too much exercise can cause a pink hue in your urine. In that case, your urine will return to normal by easing back on workouts.
