Sunglasses Help Prevent Blindness
Be sure to wear them year-round
Everyone knows sunscreen should be a ritual of summer to ward off skin damage, even skin cancer.
But sunglasses should be a must, too. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas says sunglasses are the best way to prevent cataracts, the leading cause of blindness. Be sure to look for sunglasses with 100 percent UV protection.
And put them on every time you're outside in daylight, no matter the time of year.
