Few U.S. Adults Meet Fruit, Veggie Intake Recommendations

Only 12.3% of U.S. adults meet fruit intake and 10.0% meet vegetable intake recommendations. Fruit intake was highest for Hispanic adults (16.4%) and lowest among males (10.1%), while vegetable intake was highest for adults aged 51 years and older (12.5%) and lowest among low-income adults (6.8%).
