Too much exercise is a bad thing

No one has to tell you that exercise is a necessary to stay healthy, but too much can cause problems.

Signs of over-exercising include:

  • pain or tightness in the chest;
  • feeling faint or clumsy;
  • irregular heartbeat or rapid pulse that does not decrease after working out and
  • joint pain.

If you experience any of these symptoms, the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service says consult a health professional to figure out how your exercise program is going wrong.
