The perceived risk of outside activities

(HealthDayNews) -- Psychologists at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, conducted a poll to see what activities were perceived to be risky. Here's what they reported in the journal, Perceptual Motor Skills:

  • 8 - skiing
  • 7 - scuba diving
  • 6 - bungee jumping
  • 5 - rock climbing
  • 4 - motorcycle racing
  • 3 - hang gliding
  • 2 - cliff jumping
  • 1 - skydiving

The poll also found that most people weren't interested in sports they thought had a high level of risk.
