(HealthDayNews) -- For snowmobile enthusiasts, snow-covered fields or frozen lakes are irresistible playgrounds. But the sport is sometimes cited for its tragic accidents.
St. John Ambulance, Canada, offers this safety guide:
- Equip your snowmobile as you would your car. Carry a first-aid kit, a tool box, emergency spare parts, flares, booster cables, a cell phone or two-way radio, and extra gas.
- Make sure you're dressed for the weather. Wear windproof clothing, a face mask, goggles and a helmet.
