Frailty affects outcomes for older adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Compared with matched controls, 10,590 IBD patients (mean age, 71 years) had higher Hospital Frailty Risk Scores; older IBD patients with high frailty risk had a 20% greater mortality risk vs. those who were not frail.
