How to stabilize intestinal bacteria

(HealthDayNews) -- You've read that you should eat yogurt because the lactobacillus organisms help stabilize the bacteria in your intestine and prevent other organisms from causing infections.

But if you can't stand the stuff, how little yogurt can you eat to get away with being healthy?

According to the journal, Applied Environmental Microbiology, one container of yogurt a week should be enough to keep your intestines colonized with the good bacteria.

After a week, the other bacteria start coming back, and it's time for another cup full.
