Nightcaps Can Disrupt Sleep

You may have to go to the bathroom more often

(HealthDayNews) -- A nightcap or two may help you fall asleep more easily, but alcohol too close to bedtime may also result in a more restless night, according to Duke University.

When your body metabolizes alcohol, you have to go the bathroom more, which will disrupt your sleep. Also, knocking back a few drinks, your sleep becomes lighter.

So if you still want that drink before you retire for the night, try having it about two hours before you go to bed.
