Microwave Alert

Keep clear water out of your microwave

(HealthDayNews) -- According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, if you microwave water in a clean cup without adding coffee, sugar or some other substance, it may heat past boiling point.

If this happens, a slight movement such as picking up the cup, or pouring in a spoon of coffee, can cause the water to erupt and explode, scalding your hands or face.
