Marion County, Ore., officials say use 911 only in a life-threatening emergency. Otherwise the line will be tied up for those who really need it.
Still not sure when to dial the number? County officials offer a few examples:
- If your house is on fire;
- If someone is trying to break into your home;
- If someone is badly injured or extremely ill.
