Lifespan Hospitals suggests you use bee biology to keep bees at bay:
- Bees are attracted to colorful prints, so don't wear floral prints or brightly colored clothing.
- Don't use brightly colored table cloths, plates, utensils, picnic blankets or other accessories.
- Avoid wearing floral body sprays or using floral deodorant, soap or lotions.
- Set up the food at a distance from where you're sitting and keep it covered until you're ready to eat.
