Fans of the TV comedy "Friends" no doubt will never forget the wacky folk song "Smelly Cat," sung by the character Phoebe.
And although the idea of a smelly cat might be funny, the reality may not be -- if you're one of those people who are allergic to cats or offensive odors.
But you need to be careful if you want to take care of the problem.
For instance, the Cat Fanciers' Association says the oils used in potpourri are poisonous to Tabby. And other cat experts warn that even common deodorants could be dangerous.
Maybe a good, old-fashioned bath is the best idea.
