But sometimes what seemed cool at the time becomes an eyesore. In fact, it's been reported that up to half of all tattoos cause regret. That's where lasers can help, according to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
The treatment isn't always perfect, because sometimes the body art lingers even after it's been zapped by the laser.
