Good Cardiovascular Health Cuts Risk for New, Worsening Depression

Better cardiovascular (CV) health is tied to a lower risk for depressive symptoms over time. Among 6,980 participants, better baseline CV health or CV health improvement over seven years was associated with a lower risk for new depressive symptoms and for an unfavorable depressive trajectory.
