Protect your head

(HealthDay News) - Wearing a helmet during activities where head injury is possible is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself. Head injuries can be serious and even life-threatening.

The National Safety Council says you should always wear a helmet when:

  • Riding on an all-terrain vehicle or four-wheeler.
  • Bicycling.
  • Skateboarding or inline skating.
  • Horseback riding.
  • Playing baseball or softball.
  • Playing football.
  • Rock climbing.
