Satisfaction with emergency room visits

(HealthDayNews) -- A while back, the Annals of Emergency Medicine listed some of the prime causes of patient dissatisfaction with emergency rooms.

The main complaints were not having anybody explain emergency room procedures, and not being told the probable waiting time. Also high on the list was doctors' inability to communicate with family members.

Younger patients were less likely to be satisfied with their care than older patients, and patients with hand injuries were less likely to be satisfied than those with stomach pains.
