Dozens Test Positive for TB at Kansas High School
More than two dozen people have tested positive for tuberculosis at a Kansas high school.
More than 300 students and staff at Olathe Northwest High School were tested last week after a reported case of TB at the school. The testing identified 27 more people with TB infection, the Kansas City Star reported.
On Monday, health officials started calling people who tested positive, while letters were being sent to those who showed no sign of TB.
"The number of individuals with TB infection does not exceed what we would anticipate in this setting," Lougene Marsh, director of the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment, said in a statement Wednesday, the Star reported.
"Of course, we had hoped we wouldn't find any additional TB cases, but we knew this was a possibility. That's why we took such thorough steps to test everyone who might have been in close contact with the first confirmed case of TB disease," Marsh added.
Another round of tests will be offered May 5 for people known to have been exposed to TB during the spring semester. It can take up to eight weeks for TB to give a positive test result, according to health officials.

Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinners Recalled
About 242,000 cases of original flavor Macaroni & Cheese dinners are being recalled because some boxes may contain small metal pieces, Kraft Foods says.
The company said the recalled products include 7.25-ounce boxes, 3-pack boxes, and 4-pack and 5-pack wrapped boxes of 7.25-ounce servings, and have "Best if used by" dates of Sept. 18 through Oct. 11, 2015, with the code "C2" directly below the date on each box, Fox News reported.
No injuries associated with the recalled products have been reported, according to Kraft Foods.
The company said consumers with the products should return them to the place of purchase or contact Kraft at 1-800-816-9432 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time for a full refund, Fox reported.

15 Americans Exposed to Ebola Returning to U.S.
The number of Americans who were exposed to Ebola in West Africa have been brought back to the United States has risen to 15, federal health officials say.
The 15 workers with Partners for Health were exposed to the deadly virus by a another infected member of their organization. Partners for Health is a nonprofit group assisting in the fight against Ebola, NBC News reported.
The sick Partners for Health worker -- the only one in the group to test positive for Ebola -- had already returned to the U.S. and is in critical condition at the National Institutes of Health outside Washington D.C. The patient is the 11th person to be treated for Ebola in the U.S.
Officials are trying to determine how so many Partners for Health workers were exposed to the virus.
"We're still investigating and hopefully we'll have an answer to that question," said Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spokesman Tom Skinner, NBC News reported. "The circumstances around all these exposures is what we are looking at right now."
More than 24,000 people in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia have been infected with Ebola and more than 10,000 have died.
