It's never too early to read to your child

If you're a new parent, you've probably heard lots of advice about the best way to get your little boy or girl off to a good start.

Add this suggestion from the Mid-Hudson (New York) Library System: Read to your child. Often. And start when he or she is an infant.

The system says that not only will this reinforce the importance of reading, it will help you bond with your baby.
