(HealthDay News) -- An emergency supply kit should contain essentials for everyone in the family, including the littlest ones.

The Ready.gov website recommends including:

  • Plenty of formula and some clean bottles.
  • Diapers and wipes/moist towelettes.
  • Cream to care for diaper rash.
  • Powdered milk.
  • Any medications prescribed to your children.
