Risk factors for sledding accidents

(HealthDayNews) -- The real risk factors for winter sledding accidents that require medical care may surprise you.

Pediatricians in a Seattle emergency room found that the type of sled, number of children on the sled, and their positions on the sled make no difference in the injury risk.

According to the journal Pediatric Emergency Care, the real risks are:

  • Sledding in the street instead of a park.
  • Sledding without adult supervision.
  • Having a family income over $50,000 a year!

Isn't that rich?
