(HealthDayNews) -- Have you ever noticed how most food advertisements are directed at women, and how there's a perception that men only go to the supermarket for beer and pretzels?

Well, the times they are a'changin'.

According to the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, men are involved in planning meals 23 percent of the time, do 36 percent of the grocery shopping, and actually prepare 27 percent of all meals. The percentages are higher among younger men.
