Outcomes Improved While Costs Increased in Cirrhosis

Outcomes improved but economic burden worsened from 2010 to 2016 for patients with compensated (CC) and decompensated cirrhosis (DC). According to data from the Nationwide Readmission Database, inpatient mortality for CC and DC decreased, readmission decreased for CC, and costs increased for both.
