Patient Self-Report of Impairment During Seizure Not Always Reliable
Patient reports of impaired memory during seizure may be the most reliable impairment measure, but self-report in other categories is less reliable. For 86 epileptic seizures, memory report had the strongest agreement with video review, with no agreement for speech, responsiveness, or consciousness.
