PCV Most Common Macular Neovascularization Subtype in AMD

Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) lesions were the most common subtype of macular neovascularization (MNV) in Chinese patients with age-related macular degeneration. In a study of 460 eyes, 58% had PCV and 12.8% of those co-occurred with MNV type 2; the least common MNV subtype was type 3.
