Love Through the Ages

But nothing to show for it

Have you heard the phrase, "I love you as much as the day we were married"?

According to a 1996 report in the International Journal of Aging and Human Development, that may well be true, but you can't prove it without a psychological examination.

Researchers from Arizona State University found that people's feelings of commitment, intimacy and passion remain fairly constant as they age.

But they also found the people's demonstrations of commitment, intimacy and passion decline dramatically with age.

Maybe the truth is, "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
