One time-honored method is whether the baby is carried high (girl) or low (boy). Unfortunately, according to the Health and Nutrition Center in Surry County, N.C., it's a myth. Carrying high means it's either your first pregnancy or you're incredibly fit. With each pregnancy, certain muscles become more elastic. Exercises after pregnancy can bring them back to form.
