Radiation for High-Risk, Asymptomatic Bone Metastases May Prevent Pain, Prolong Life

Radiation therapy for high-risk, asymptomatic bone metastases may benefit individuals with metastatic cancer. In a study of 78 patients with 122 bone metastases, researchers found that skeletal-related events were decreased with radiation: 1.6% vs. 29% in patients who received standard of care.
