Putting Mold on Hold

Air on the side of caution, if you have allergies

Lots of people are allergic to different things -- plants, foods and pets, to cite a few. Some folks are even allergic to mold in the air.

If you suffer from the last problem, the University of Michigan's MCare Web site has some suggestions:

  • Don't rake leaves that have been on the ground because mold begins to grow after several days;
  • Make sure your basement is dry and well-ventilated, and use a dehumidifier to dry the air;
  • Don't keep plants in the house.
