Health Tip: Always Reach for the Stars

You'll feel better

(HealthDayNews) -- Go ahead, be all you can be. Thirty years from now, you'll feel better for it.

That's the conclusion of a study done by the University of Texas at Austin, and published in the journal Psychology of Aging.

The study planned to examine what happened to gifted people over their lifetimes -- how their abilities affected their careers. What turned up was that those people who challenged themselves and lived up to their abilities were happier with their life choices in career and family. They also wouldn't do anything differently if asked to do it all over again.

The study also found that people who were satisfied with their life choices at the age of 49 were still satisfied when they reached 60. And those who were pleased with their lives and careers at 60 were likely to feel that way when they reached 80.
