(HealthDay News) -- Testosterone is a male sex hormone that plays a part in sperm production, facial hair and muscle growth. Testosterone levels often drop as a man gets older, but low testosterone also can result from genetic, reproductive or endocrine abnormalities.
If you think you may have low testosterone, see your doctor. Here are some common symptoms, courtesy of the Men's Health Foundation:
- Low libido.
- Erectile dysfunction.
- Moodiness, depression, fatigue or difficulty concentrating.
- Reduction in muscle, strength and bone density.
