(HealthDayNews) -- What do people believe about arthritis? It depends -- largely on whether they have arthritis themselves.
Arthritis and Rheumatology conducted a random survey of 300 people and found:
83 percent thought bee venom could cure arthritis.76 percent thought vitamins could cure arthritis.74 percent thought copper bracelets could cure arthritis.54 percent thought dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) could cure arthritis.
When the journal repeated the poll only for people who had arthritis, almost everybody who responded knew that there is no cure.
