(HealthDayNews) -- Are you concerned that your child's constant knuckle cracking may affect him later in life?

While knuckle cracking is an annoying habit, there is no conclusive evidence to prove the often-held belief that it causes arthritis, according to the Nemours Foundation.

But if it's done frequently enough and with enough force, some experts believe it could eventually cause some hand impairment, the foundation says.
